Privacy policy

kb does not collect any data. There are no kb accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party services. Nothing leaves your device except through the two optional Apple services described below, iCloud and Game Center.

Your typing history — lesson and test results, per-key statistics, book reading positions, and imported books — and your settings are stored on your device.

If iCloud sync is on, your typing history and imported books sync through iCloud to your other devices using your private iCloud database; your settings stay on each device. That data is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and is not visible to the developer. You can turn sync off with Sync with iCloud in kb's Settings on Mac and iPad, or for kb in your device's iCloud settings.

Game Center leaderboards are off unless you turn them on in kb's Settings. While they are on, kb sends your accuracy-weighted speed for eligible typing tests to Apple's Game Center, together with the test's language and whether you typed on a hardware or on-screen keyboard. Other Game Center players can see your score and Game Center nickname on the leaderboards, according to your Game Center settings. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Turn the setting off and nothing more is sent.

Purchases are handled by the App Store; the developer never sees your payment details.
